AUGUST 2026: Congratulations to Chuda for her duo of papers published in JID Innovations on temporal outcomes of rituximab therapy of pemphigus vulgaris, as well as factors predictive of complete remission after rituximab therapy of pemphigus
JULY 2026: The Payne lab welcomes new Associate Research Scientist Hisashi Nomura, MD, PhD, and PhD student Alice Yi. Hisashi comes to Columbia from Keio University, where he studied the role of IgM to IgG class switch in development of the pemphigus phenotype and also developed functionally stabilized iTregs for antigen-specific immunosuppression for pemphigus. Alice graduated from the University of New Haven then trained in David Hafler’s laboratory at Yale studying the role of myeloid cells and regulatory T cells in autoimmune neurologic diseases. We also bid farewell and best wishes to Andrew Overmiller, PhD, who is starting a new position in Discovery Immunology at J&J.
